Computer Arabia gets “QF Vendor Award"

QATAR Foundation (QF) has presented the first ‘QF Vendor Award’ to Computer Arabia and other two vendors at a symposium held earlier last week of April.

Computer Arabia received the award for outstanding service at the vendor symposium, which was attended by over 200 delegates from QF’s current and prospective suppliers and contractors.

Announcing the winners and the outcome of the symposium at a media briefing held at the Education City on 28/04/2008, QF Materials & Contracts Directorate head Khalid al-Sulaiteen said: “This was the second year when we invited all our existing and prospective vendors in an attempt to open and enhance the communication channels. New terms and conditions were discussed and view points from all parties were exchanged during the event.”

Also present on the occasion were the directorate’s Logistics head, Ramez Jaber and Senior Business Support officer, Mehtab Azam.

Azam said: “This was the first year that we also presented awards to outstanding vendors. The idea was to honor and acknowledge best suppliers for their hard work and dedication. A team of QF officials worked equally hard to evaluate the suppliers for the awards.”

QF, as it is going through a constant expansion, requires large quantities of supplies ranging from furniture, electronic appliances, stationery, computers and computer-related accessories, printers and so on, according to the officials.

This year’s symposium was opened by QF vice-president of administration, Rashid al-Naimi, who in his opening statement said: “Our relationship with our vendors is a partnership, and one that we are keen to continually improve. The ongoing co-operation and quality service delivered by our vendors as partners, means that our high standards can continue to be met and raised in support of QF’s vision for the future”.
